I have searched my server for DB.php, it is not there anymore....

I am lost here, what do I do now ?

You could try the manual approach:

  pear list    (see a list of installed Pear packages)

  pear install DB   (install the "DB" Pear package)

I run into this same problem with Debian Linux sometimes. I suggest that once you have it working, run "pear list" and save that output somewhere so you have a list of Pear modules for future reference.
