I upgraded to latest version of Horde Groupware Webmail edition and that
solved folder access problem.
Strikethrought mail was because Thunderbird didn't purge e-mails when
moving or deleting them. Setting Thunderbird
mail.imap.expunge_after_delete to "true" solved that problem too.
