That version doesn't have any problems with these users' mailboxes. When I encountered this issue, I also upgraded to the latest uw-imapd but it didn't fix it. In other words, IMP3 with the uw-imap 2002 and 2007 has problems, IMP2 with us-imap 2002 and 2007 have problems. I also can't find evidence (in my server logs) of any crashes by imap or c-client, though I could of course be looking in the wrong place.
This means nothing. It is very likely that IMP 2 uses different c-client commands to build the mailbox than later versions of IMP does.
