Nope - works fine here, at least as of IMP 5.1.
Debug from IMAP traffic with the "Error":
S: * LIST (\NonExistent) "/" "Shared"
S: * LIST (\NonExistent) "/" "Shared/yy.shared"
IMAP traffic is irrelevant. Folder expansion is entirely controlled
by the 'expanded_folders' preference.
