Hi,
Just to add, any link for a doc file in Horde/IMP 5 message in firefox
allows me to download/view by the browser, so why not, when I click in
preview for attachments.

It works in Horde 3/IMP 4. Then how can it become enhancement
request? Right now also, I have both setups and it works in Horde
3/IMP4 and does not work in Horde 4/IMP 5. So, my users are asking,
why not in this?
I am not asking for browser to open in its own tab/window. I am
asking for a browser to prompt me to download/view/open with
application installed in the local system (which it already knows,
like for example, if there is a link for word file, and when I click
on that link, it understands and asks me to either open or download.
If you have a Horde 3/IMP 4 installation, please check.

Dear Vilius ?umskas,
I am talking about Compose Window. While composing, I am attaching
word/excel file. I want to re-confirm the file which I have attached
is the correct one. So, I click on Update and try to preview the file
which I have already attached.
Brief on my setup:
I have not installed abiword on my web server and so not enabled the
msword driver (by default this is disabled).
How it works for pdf:
If I attach a pdf file, and click on Update for attachments in
Compose window, I get an option to download/view the file when I click
on the link provided on the attachment filename where as for doc/excel
file, a new empty tab opens up in the browser. I want, an option
similar to pdf file should come up.
I hope, I am clear now.
Attachment download in Compose window is not implemented. Only file
preview is currently available. You can fill the enchancement
request at bugs.horde.org but it doesn't mean it will be implemented.
PDF preview works because a browser has PDF viewer plugin installed.
