I agree. I don't think people want to edit their signature. I think the need of turning on/off the signature "on the fly" is much more present than editing the signature's text itself. This, of course, can be achieved with identities. In one identity you have the signature. In another you don't. Seeing the non-editable signature there, below the msg, might induce the user to this thought (of using identities). Otherwise, unless someone shows him there is a possibility of multiple identities, he may not have this idea by his own, specially because many times it's not the user who creates his own default identity, but the sysadmin or an automated script, depending on the case. > > I will investigate templates/draft answers. I don't use drafts a lot, but if I'm not mistaken the draft will only get the signature added after you hit the "send" button, just like any new message. So I guess there's no need to change anything internally.
