Hi, I've been having this problem for a while and it is now my biggest complain to Evil because other than Evil itself, "auto-complete" is the next thing I can't be living without.
So, for example after "pri" have been typed, auto-complete gives a candidate menu and I selected the "printf" from the menu, I then hit "RET" and the text "printf" got inserted. I then hit ESC and move the point to somewhere else, I hit "." wanted to get "printf" inserted again but I ended up getting the exact keyboard sequence I had typed which is "pri"+new line. I guess this will not be an "easy" fix so if it will take too much time and there are still more important stuff out there then please just ignore it for now. I'm sorry that at least in the next 5 months I will not be able to contribute things more complicated than or as complicated as "isearch opens and closes hidden text" like I did before, because I'm still new to elisp and is currently under extreme stress from my project at work.
