Dear all,
I have a scenario which puzzles me. I have noticed that every time I do
a clean installation of OS ( I use ubuntu) and then proceed with
installing tomcat, loading existing openmrs database into mysql server
and finally deploying war file in tomcat webapps directory I do not get
what I can call the expected behavior. The strange thing is that, the
first time I try to access openmrs from the browser I get an error
displayed below.
*Error!*
A runtime properties file is needed for OpenMRS to start up consistently.
OpenMRS is unable to create this file:
/usr/share/tomcat6/.OpenMRS/openmrs-runtime.properties
Because of this error: No such file or directory
You must correct this before continuing.
My understanding tells me that, since openmrs runtime properties file
does not exist in my system, then the openmrs installer should kick in,
however that is not the case with me all the time. I need someone to
explain why I this happens.
By the way I always fix this issue by creating runtime properties file
manually.
