Yes, we will follow the import guidelines.

The California marine protected areas are basically underwater national
parks.  They have certain fishing restrictions. The more visible these
areas are to the public the better, since they are often overlooked or
unknown to exist. It is not a huge dataset, but the areas to cover the
entire length of the CA coast. See summary map:

Since we are doing updates to Channel Islands National Park, we feel that
the Channel Islands MPAs should be included in our updates.  But, if we do
the Channel Islands MPAs, we should be doing all California MPAs. I've been
in contact with the data steward for these areas and he agrees. Now
checking with the OSM community.
