Just in case it's been missed in the prior discussions, you can use the forum only via email if you like (so that everyone gets their way). Inbound email addresses are found on the category descriptions (e.g. here for the general category: https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/about-the-general-talk-category/1151) and then to get all replies to all threads, click the bell in the top right of the main category page (e.g. here for the general category: https://community.openstreetmap.org/c/general/38/none) and set it to watching. You can reply to all threads/email notifications (except summary digests) and your reply will be posted as you.
If you already knew all this, and just don't like switching to a new mailing list, then I can't help.
