Osmose documentation is a bit outdated... the project moves too quickly ;) osmose can be fed with external data to crosscheck/suggest data integration.
Switch to "all levels" and look a the last group called "Integration". It contains several sources of data: monuments from wikipedia, post_office, schools train station and level_crossings from national opendata... and the last one is "address". Example in Toulouse: http://osmose.openstreetmap.fr/en/map/?zoom=14&lat=43.59531&lon=1.4149&layers=B0000FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT&item=8xxx&level=1,2,3 It is more oriented to manually integrate data on a local area than on a global area. It works in conjunction with JOSM thru its remote control, so that you can review in JOSM before uploading to OSM servers. This is the last major address integration in Toulouse, visible on this graph: http://osmose.openstreetmap.fr/en/errors/graph.png?item=8080 -- Christian Quest - OpenStreetMap France - http://openstreetmap.fr/u/cquest<http://openstreetmap.fr/u/christian-quest>
