OSM Imports, I work with the GIS Department of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; which contains the City of Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. We would like to import many datasets, including
* Allegheny County Street Centerlines* * Allegheny County Park Boundaries* (Allegheny County-owned parks only) * Allegheny County Building Footprints * Allegheny County Hydrology * Allegheny County Park Trails* (within Allegheny County-owned parks only) I am confident that the street centerlines, County park boundaries, and County trails are the most accurate datasets available (demarcated by an asterisk). These shapes can overwrite what is already available for the area. However, our building footprints and hydrology files are a bit dated so I think they will need to be ingested incrementally. We are receiving some hi-res updated hydrology shapes from Pictometry in the near future, which can be also imported to OSM. We also curate and update other datasets, but I am unsure which ones would be of interest to the OSM community. I already know that we have support from our organization to release this data since these datasets are available publicly through our own Open Data website (http://openac.alcogis.opendata.arcgis.com/). You can refer to this website in order to review the data I listed above in addition to other datasets we have available. I can also provide the data if you cannot locate them on that page. We have a license that complies with OSM. However, I have not created a wiki yet or edited the Import/Catalogue yet since I need a bit of guidance in the import process. Should I create a wiki for you all to review before looking at the data? Let me know how I should proceed.
