You live an hour away from Virginia Beach, is that correct? Are you familiar enough with the city to verify the data quality, or will you enlist the help of local mappers who are? To quote stevea from teh recent Adirondack thread, > Likewise. We (OSM volunteers) don't often talk about the importance > of KEEPING UP the map after an import, but doing so is a seriously > crucial component. Is there a community that can be counted on to make sure the data doesn't rot in OSM once imported - or will you commit to that? On http://paidmappers.github.io/home/, you advertise your services as mapper-for-hire ("Open Data is growing at an alarming rate and we shall put all that data in OpenStreetMap. ... we scour open data portals and sites for authorative data like buildings, public amenities, and addresses.") - Is this import proposal linked to this endeavour in any way? (I haven't looked at the data and license yet.)
