In this area at least I could see replacing these > boundaries with official ones to be beneficial. you might consider not replacing those hand drawn boundaries but retagging them, e.g. to place=village/town/city (rather than administrative), also there's currently a proposal to add boundary=place to places mapped as areas. cheers, Martin
