Hi,

Thanks for the feedback,

What's your plan when OSM and your dataset conflict? I've found it can be helpful to check the history of the OSM object, the age it was last modified, as well as leaving changeset comments to see if the original mapper has anything to add in that case.
Yes this is it : check history, compare with source:date (from SAU). If not sure, add a fixme. I take the note about adding a comment to the original mapper, maybe only if he is active in the area or if he or she has done a lot of contribution ? Else there is a lot of tourists so not very confident they might answer.

Cheers,

Violaine

This looks good to me, I can't see any issues. Thanks for checking off all the formal requirements to do an import! The fact that you're importing manually should alleviate any issue with duplicates.

    Hello,

The SAU (similar to national geographic institute, in French
Polynesia) has requested my support to import some of their data
into OSM. We have the licence agreement ok.

We plan to start a first pilot with the commune of Arue, in order
to test the quality of our import process and improve it if needed.

We would be very happy if you could bring your constructive inputs
about this, please have a look at wiki page dedicated for that,
you will find the data transformation scheme we used.

The details are available on the wiki here
    (https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/SAU_data_to_OSM) and you can
also check the Data transformation model here

    )

We are looking forward for feedbacks from you before we proceed
(from october). Please let us know if there are any comments,
    questions or concerns.

    Sincerely,

    Violaine, and SAU team
