Hi all, Would there be any objection to importing MS Bing auto-generated building footprints for the area around Cabrera (María Trinidad Sanchez), Dominican Republic? The license is ODbL, and I’d continue to make manual refinements as time permits. There’s some pre-existing footprints that I manually added which I won’t overwrite. I’ve already sent an email out to the talk-do mailing list a few days ago, but there hasn’t been any reply. I’ve already got the footprints for the area in GeoJSON format, which I’ll open in JOSM and add/remove the right tags before adding them to the OSM layer. The area I’d add the footprints would form a rough rectangle, the northwest corner is where the Río Joba meets the ocean and the southeast corner is where the Río Boba meets the ocean. I’ve compared the footprints to the satellite in this area, and they’re accurate enough to be useful. Like I said, I’ll keep making manual updates when I have time. |
