This is a typical problem for people who would like to use PAN with Splus 6 and
later. The problem is these versions of Splus do not work with *.obj files

Oh, lovely.

The simplist solution to the problem is to get Splus2000 or eariler versions...

OK, thanks. I'll see what I can do, although a preliminary Google shows Insightful owning everything now -- any tips welcome.

If this doesn't pan out (no pun intended), what are the current recommendations for multiple imputation in a multilevel situation, given that I don't have the expertise to "roll my own'?

I don't *think* we have any missing data at level two -- how much harm is done by imputing at level one, disregarding the clustering? I'm sure the answer is "it depends," but any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks,
Pat

Subject: [Impute] Splus 6.2 can't find PAN

I confess -- I have no idea what I'm doing.

I've got a clustered data situation, so I downloaded PAN from Joe's
website. I also installed Splus 6.2 for Windows, which is what Duke
has.
I unzipped the PAN files into .../splus62/library/pan/, which is where
all
of the other libraries are.

I try to load the library from the Splus GUI, and it's not in the list
of
libraries available. I try to load it from the commandline, and get "No

section 'pan' in the library directory."

I've never used PAN or Splus, so I have no idea where my problem is.

All help greatly appreciated.
