Paul,
There is a nice paper by Raghunathan that compares different methods for how to
handle probability samples in MI (i.e., fixed effect vs random effects models).
I have had good success by using fixed effects for clusters within strata and
running separate MI models for each strata. This is contingent on having an
adequate number of observations in each strata. I have not included sampling
weights, as inclusion of strata and clusters should be enough to preserve
relationships between different variables.

Hello,

I have seen mixed advice re. whether to include the sampling weight and
stratum variables in the imputation model for complex surveys and would
be grateful for any comments people have on this topic.

Thanks,

Paul Shattuck
