I block all our dialup IPs for outbound port 25 access. I require all my dialup users to use my smtp server to send out mail.
I do this for two reasons: 1) To prevent any of them from running their own smtp server to spam 2) To stop viruses that spew their infection via internal smtp services I can think of no valid reason that a customer would need outside access to port 25. Anything they want to legitimatly do related to send out email, they can accomplish through my smtp server. Just my position :) -Alan >> From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >> [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Ted >> Sent: Tuesday, October 21, 2003 12:30 PM >> To: imsusers >> Subject: OT: ISPs refusing mail from clients with dynamic IPs >> >> >> Is anyone on the list having problems now that some of the >> big ISPs, like >> AOL, are refusing mail from dynamic IPs?
