It is very good news that someone is willing
to have a look at the source.
Beside the new fonctionalities, is there a chance
that you might have a look at the code, and try to find out why the service
is freezing under heavy load ?

Some time ago I noticede that someone tried to
add functionality to Mike's MMSMTPRcv.
I have downloaded the sorce (0.48) and Winshoes,
but have problems compiling it, because Winshoes is a 16-bit version. I
noticed that Mike mentioned a modified version of Winshoes and I guess that it
is modified in this aspect. Does anyone have the modified version - I don't
like to introduce new bugs in an excellent software, but I have some expanded
functionality that I schould like to test.
