Anyone got any ideas on implementing this issue? Currently, at startup smtprcv loads the usernames into a list and strips off the domain then merges it into the nt user list. So as far as it's concerned [EMAIL PROTECTED] is the same as [EMAIL PROTECTED]
My thoughts on the solution: To use the NT user verificiation, the easiest way is to say that the 1st entry in "accept mail for" is the domain for it. If you dont qualify the ntuser to a domain, then for user A you cant tell the difference between [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED] For plugin1.dat, it loads the full [EMAIL PROTECTED] into the list of users. Then it can reject [EMAIL PROTECTED] For [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED], there's nothing that can be done about it, it has to accept everything (note # isnt implemented yet). In the config program, the "plugin 1 config file" option needs to become a list of files. probably needs to have a way of enabling/disabling. so if you have plugin1.dat of "[EMAIL PROTECTED]","[EMAIL PROTECTED]" "[EMAIL PROTECTED]","[EMAIL PROTECTED]" and "accept mail for" of mydomain.com b.c g.h then the user validation list would be [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] everything else gets rejected. klint. +---------------------------------------+-----------------+ : Klint Gore : "Non rhyming : : EMail : [EMAIL PROTECTED] : slang - the : : Snail : A.B.R.I. : possibilities : : Mail University of New England : are useless" : : Armidale NSW 2351 Australia : L.J.J. : : Fax : +61 2 6772 5376 : : +---------------------------------------+-----------------+ This is the discussion list for the IMS Free email server software.
