This is probably a question for Klint, but maybe some of you have come across the same problem and can help. I just installed smtprcv v 0.51 to use the domain check capabilities with multiple domains. I had everything set up and was testing the different domains and everything was working fine. I then enabled the Check HELO not in accept mail for to catch some possible messages. I was completing tests and ready to go on to other tasks when I noticed my workstation could not send mail. I kept getting errors in sending messages indicating the server would not accept smtp sessions. Checking the R log on the mailserver, I see that my workstation and a few others are being refused with a log message of '<My IP Addr> 521 HELO is local domain, <my domain name>. I had tried restarting smtprcv and my machine hoping changed settings had not taken place. After this, I have unchecked the 'Check HELO not in accept mail for, restarted smtprcv and the server, but am still getting the same message in the log file.

Any ideas if this setting is the cause of the failure and why toggling the setting seems to make no difference? Also, others are able to send mail while two are not. I have moved 0.48 back in use until I can figure this out.

Thanks,
Greg
