It would seem to me, the best way to solve this would be that you
rename/recreate the list to an obscure name [EMAIL PROTECTED] and
use PLUGIN1 to do a forward to that name from the alias you want them to
have (i.e. "[EMAIL PROTECTED]","[EMAIL PROTECTED]). That
way if Company-A wants to have a list with the same name, you simply create
another obscure name and alias that one in the plug-in also. Since there is
no actual list [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or -B either), then the messages
would get returned if it is not an exact domain match.

I have done this with username accounts, but have not actually tried
this with the mailing list (as I only have a couple), but would imagine it
works the same way.

The question of a how the list is actually used has to be determined
first, from security point of view. Who is authorized to post to the mailing
list (anyone, member, moderator) ? I believe the actual name of the list
would become the reply address, and therefore, any receiver, could reply and
post to the rest of the list, unless it's limited to a moderator, in which
case, it wouldn't matter. If it is a list that it's members participate
(like this one), then the alias only makes a convenient name to initiate
messages, but replies would likely come to the actual list name.

Sincerely,
