I have a question regarding AVP and how it reports TRASHFINDER (.91d) data
in the AVP program (Trash tab):
Although TrashFinder is able to trash a message, I am currently
getting all messages reporting that they were trashed by SCSMFILTER in my
AVP program. I go into any message and it shows the line similar to:
"X-Trash-Finder: Message Trashed by "u" found in text body", yet it reports
in the AVP program under the column FILTER as a SCSMFILTER filtered message
which is incorrect. A while ago, my system would report "Trash_Fi" as the
source but at some point that changed, and I didn't catch when. I use the
TrashFinder "Exceptions" to be the primary anti-spam filter for my domains,
and all other mail gets blocked by trashing everything with an "a,e,i,o,u"
in the text body. Then I use AVP to scan/sort the mail by users (because I
really like the speed-appearance of that interface), and scan down the
return-names and subjects looking for valid mail. I would sometimes use
other columns, to help sort through on sessions when I have more than 500
messages, but lately, I cannot use the FILTER column.
Anyone else get the same result ? Where does AVP get it's column
data from ?
Also, AVP is reporting several characters over which would be in the
message as "not on allow list" , which displays in AVP as "on allow list" in
the "Other Info" column. There are many vague references like that, which
require "viewing the message" to actually see what is being reported.
I tried to resolve some of these by speaking with Eric at Zaxalon, but he
pointed me to Trashfinder for answers.... so I really don't know what/where
to go ! I posted this to the TrashFinder group twice, but I appear to be
locked out of the list maybe because I didn't upgrade. My server is low
volume (about 300-600 messages per day), at over 90% being spam.
Sincerely,
John Martoccio
