I installed version 7 a while ago, but could never get it to send the
correct code to AVP to have the message deleted. They would all end up in
the trash folder and I would have to delete them manually. I even emailed
CA's tech support and got a very curt answer back from them: "Our product is
not designed to run on a server."

The reason I installed version 7 was because of the security vulnerability
in version 6 that CA announced. Unfortunately, I had to go back to version 6
and about 2 weeks ago, the W2K server that was running it was hacked! We
don't know for sure how they got in, but I immediately took EZAV off both
email servers and installed F-Prot.

Ted,

I'm sorry, I havn't had the opportunity to download and figure the command
line parameters for EZAV v 7 myself, yet. We are still running V 6 without
problem.

I would think that the KB article, "Command Line Scanning - eTrust EZ
Antivirus r7" on this EZAV support web page:
http://crm.my-etrust.com/default.asp?appType=Search&GUID=F872B6F255474F85A7F
C4C02F35512A8&Problem=command%20line , when used in conjuction with the AVP
scanners guidelines page, http://www.zaxalon.com/scanners220.html , would be
the way to figure it out.

I know several people have been asking this, and was hoping an AVP user
would have posted the EZ 7 arguments already.

Regards,

-- Eric
