Hope everyone resubscribed now that the list has recovered.
I'm trying to look beyond IMS to something that is a little more robust,
and I've also run into a requirement where I need to do webmail.
Earlier someone on this list mentioned XMail (www.xmailserver.org) and
I've also had SmarterMail (www.smartertools.com) recommended, but I was
wondering if anyone else has any other recommendations? I'd prefer
something that works under W2K3, but at this point I'm also open to
other platforms.
Thanks,
Gary
Try running qmail under FreeBsd. See: http://freebsd.qmailrocks.org. It's in combination with squirrelmail, clamav and spamassassin.
I'm running it as our main mailserver. It then delivers to ims. On Ims i'm running my own version of antirelay and some other
plugins since the main mailserver gets all the mail from our provider. IMS delivers to qmail which delivers to the world.
