Destination India for the iPhone When the iPhone 3G was first released, everybody balked at the price. After all, they said, it costs only $299 (about Rs 15,000) for the 16GB model and $199 (about Rs 10,000) for the 8GB in the US. How could Apple price it so high in India? Most put off buying it thinking that the price would drop. They were completely wrong.
