Thanks for the immediate reply. But I am not sure abt your reply because I 
treid partitioning my Mac without inserting the Windows CD and so in what way 
is the Service Pack 2 related to this.

Reconfirm if you have the Win XP Service Pack 2.
You get this kind of a message if it is not the SP2.
