How many characters does your network key have?  I think windows is  
restricted to 5 or 13 ascii characters (or 10 or 26 in hex) for WEP  
encryption.  You could try changing the key in the router settings to  
a 5 or 13 character password and get the router to generate the hex  
key.  If more than one key is generated (usually 4 keys), use the  
first key.
