1. Go to *Directory Utility* in Utilities Folder.
2. Click *Show Advanced Settings*
3. Go to *Services* Tab and choose the type of the domain your client
has.
4. If it is an Active Directory Domain, then enable *Active Directory*,
Double click it to configure.
5. Enter the domain name, Computer id will be the name by which you want
to show this mac on the server.
6. Click *Show Advanced Options*.
7. Select *Create mobile account at login* (if the user is going to login
thru AD account)
8. Make sure the Network protocol is *smb*
