Hi
A friend of mine just bought a MBP (Unibody 2010) and was wondering
how he could put the machine in hibernate mode ( been a Windows user
till very recently). He says the sleepmode is eating up a considerable
amount of battery Power (about 12-15% in 2 hours).

Here is what he needs to achive

1. At a flip of the button or lid, he should be ready to go.

2. Doesnt want to reopen Safari Tabs for the Google searches hes done.
(Everytime different set of websites)
Same goes true with his mail client too. Plus a few documents and
stuff that open. Basically hates killing off the running stuff, so
shoutdown is out of question.

3. Wants that somehow his MBP should be able to remain in domant /
power down mode for long hours and shoudlnt lose this opened tabs and
apps.

I was thinking of suggesting him "Safe Sleep" option. But was
wondering if there is anything better or more convinent? More so, the
power drop factor would still persist. So is 12-15% power drop over 2
hours normal? Coz I remember my older MBP (Santa Rosa 2007) would drop
about 4-5% in 3 Hours.

Thanks in advance..
