You may want to wait and buy it from India…. Why? I’ve heard some rumors that Apple Authorized Service Providers will soon be able to service iPhones as well. However, the only issue would be that the warranty for the iPhone is restricted to phones bought in that country unlike other Apple products carrying an international warranty.
So although people buy Notebooks or iPods abroad and can get the product’s warranty extended with APP (AppleCare Protection Plan) or service through a local service provider, they won’t be able to do that with the iPhones. This means the one can buy the APP (extended warranty service) from Apple for the iPhone and extend the phone’s warranty by an additional year….. Phew… Finally.
