I too have bought the same printer on last Tuesday and installed at home. There is no problem. It works fine with my macbook, iphone and ipad.
Please descirbe the problem in detail so that we can help. When you install the driver from macbook, after some files installtion, the dialogue page would ask you to disconnect the USB cable from the printer. >From then, the set up is completely wireless. On the printer, you need to update the software version by pressing the touch screen. Once the printer connects the wireless internet pages, it will create an email id and it will print all the details to confirm that everything was done.
