Hi, even though Lion can recognize many apps which have compatibility issues, would be best to do a clean fresh install instead of upgrade.
Also would be good to make a clone of your existing setup using Carbon Copy cloner for backup, just in case you want to restore to the original setup. It is a big pain for users here with download caps and limited broadband speeds to download Lion! Apple selling the USB's with Lion for $69 is a bit too much also...when it's available in the app store for $29, $40 for a 8GB pen drive borders on extortion Good luck on the installation, do tell how it works out!
