This happens when iphone is bought from usa verizon network I guess has it been 
bought from abroad 

Though they say it is locked to verizon  network or when the carrier update 
settings is not working 

Also one important thing which when you take it to apple customer care they 
will tell you connect to itunes and restore it and check if done that 

So can u pls let us know where have u bought the iphone from if it is from 
india and under warranty it can be taken care of 

Also I am sure the people from apple dealers taking care of the warranty are in 
this group

Tried hard restart as well .
