The MBP can support 1 external monitor using it's mini DisplayPort. If you wanted another external monitor, you would use the Matrox adapter.
What Rishi says would work. Be careful though, new windows can pop up on either screen. So, if the receptionist is not careful, something embarrassing like a Patient's info can pop up on the 2nd screen.
