Subject: [IMUG] switching to imac from windows pc finally

I recently bought an imac and am switching from a pc completely to an imac and that completes my ecosystem as i already had iphone, ipad, apple tv, macbook pro retina and macbook air

now i have a query

I have an internal extra hard disc 3.5 western digital sata 1 tb which has a lot of data only and not program files

My plan is before disposing off my pc I owuld like to remove that disc and put it in a casing and use it on my imac as an external drive

Now i looked on the net and ebay I am not getting a good reliable 3.5 inch sata casing for the same can someone guide me regarding the same how to go about it

The other option which i was considering is to copy all the data in an external hard drive but copying so much data will take a lot of time and energy

so looking for an easy solution

My windows pc is pretty old and does not support usb 3.0 or some ports are 1.1 not 2.0 so the copying process is really slow

is there any other way out or any of you can guide me from where i can get a casing for the same
