Boddingtons Brewery has been in Manchester for 250 years (my dad worked there as a boy) A non-British company has bought (some time ago as it happens) Boddingtons and is going to close down the Brewery and end it's connection with Manchester. Forgive me telling you that all (proper) beers tastes as they do because of the water source. Boddingtons (like all proper breweries) has it's own well drawing pure Mancunian water. Plainly the owners think this does not matter PLEASE I beg you go to http://www.savethecream.com/ and sign the petition. The link? Manchester United has been in Manchester for 126 years (my grandad, my dad, and myself have all been going there since we were boys). What if (WHAT IF) a non-British company bought Manchester United and ended it's connection with Manchester? How would you feel? DON'T tell me it can't happen. DON'T tell me the FA (bastards) would not allow it to happen. IT HAS HAPPENED. Ask the 'true' Wimbledon supporters. SO THEN, how would you feel if 126 years of tradition was uprooted and moved somewhere else? Would it make you feel good? Do you think it would be acceptable? Would I feel good? Would I accept that what my grandad, dad, and myself have built with OUR money was hijacked by some total bastard who cares not one jot about Manchester United OR Manchester?
