It has come to our attention that Commerzbank may have kindly lent Malcolm Glazer several tens of millions of pounds to buy his initial stake of shares in Manchester United plc. It is further understood that the bank may not be overdelighted to be so exposed to Mr Glazer and may have been looking at ways to exit this arrangement. Of course, we cannot prove that this is the case, and so in the meantime, we must insist that while we are checking the facts, no United supporter or anyone connected with United fans groups should in any way contact, inconvenience or disturb the Managers of Commerzbank with requests to speed up the process of "exiting" which they are currently reviewing or in any way maligning the loan arrangement which may or may not be in place. Furthermore, we would be absolutely mortified if anyone were to arrange for any unwanted taxis, pizzas or other services to be delivered to the aforesaid gentlemen. And if we hear that black pages have been endlessly faxed to the Commerzbank fax machines, we will be deeply, deeply upset. The same goes for JP Morgan, of course, because no-one wants their reputation sullied by any adverse association with this gentleman of dubious financial standing, and keeping a low, even anonymous, profile for these banks in relation to Mr Glazer is what they are desperately seeking. Whatever you do, you certainly must not post the Commerzbank details below on all of the relevant forums as soon as possible as it would be an extermely poor show for anyone to use these for the above purposes.
