Tony . . . . .
1st - its Manchester United . . . not Man U . . .
2nd - glazer does not have enough cash to buy Manchester United
3rd - we run at a profit every year - if he took over there would be no
profit
4th - he bought a 2nd rate crap american football team and they won 1 big
event - not much to brag about - Manchester United is the greatest football
team in England - glazer cannot add anything to our club - all he can do is
exploit and rape it for all its worth. -
5th - "don't hate the player - hate the game" wot a load of bollox - we love
our players and we love our beautiful game - -
6th - if you are a true RED - you would want to keep things as they are . .
. FOR EVER RED AND NOT FOR $ALE - why try fix something that aint broke ? ?
?
7th - "the new game of football" ? ? ? where have u been for the past decade
?
We have had Frenchman - Argentinians - Trinidad-Tobago - Danish and a
whole bunch of other nationality players in our team for ages . . .
its nothing "new" . . .
7th - I like the name Manchester United Football Club . . . glazer would
turn us into
Man U Soccer Franchise and that would make me puke !
Do yourself a favour and visit www.shareholdersunited.org

Why keeping Manchester United independent is so important !

As a American (by way of Portugal), and a Man U supporter. I am troubled by
all the negativity towards Glazer. I am also a American Football fan ( Go
Cowboys) and I can remember a time when you looked on the schedule and saw
the that you had a fixture against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and you smiled
it would be an easy win. After Glazer came in, it immediately started to
change. They started to win, and playing them became harder and harder. This
was the attitude that Glazer brought, an attitude to win. He is an old man
and he wants his legacy to be one of winning and Championships.
The fears that everyone has about Man U losing there worth is completely
unfounded. Does any one truly think that by Glazer taking over, the value of
the team will drop? I think not. I think merchandise sales will pick up. I
could also see a new TV contract that will probably include some US
networks.
Glazer is not Rupert and Sky. Rupert and Sky bought the LA Dodgers and
practically ran them into the ground. Glazer bought the Bucs and made them
Champs (there problems this year are about injuries. And yes Glazers
decision to get rid of Dungy was well founded. Dungy is an exceptional
gentleman and coach, but some how has a problem with taking teams and having
them win the "big game" He was always on the cusp with the Bucs and now it
seems he is every year on the cusp with the Colts (of Indianapolis) and just
can't get over that last hurdle (even though he has seasoned and "big time"
players on the team.
As the expression goes here in the states, "Don't hate the player-Hate the
game" and the game is the New game of football. It's faster and it is
international. Look at the devil's starting XI, you have a Dutchman, a
Portuguese, a Cameroonian. Why not have an American owner. I suspect that
that the American part is the part that scares most supporters. Cubic is
Irish and that is acceptable, but a owner from across the pond?? Most would
say no. Don't hate the "player" all Glazer wants is trophies and in truth
isn't that all we Man U supporters want also (and to beat Arsenal)???
We want trophies, and I think Glazer would have no problem with filling up
the hallowed halls of Old Trafford with as much silverware as possible.
One last thought, a lot of us here in the States think that Glazer looks
like a leprechaun, just dress him in green with a derby and he is ready for
St Patty's Day. I think that is pretty funny.
I have spoken my piece and I feel better.
Go Devils, lets make the Gunners shoot blanks!!!!!
