I agree with many posters - the Board will be thrilled to bloody bits if
ST/LMTB holders DON'T renew. These books will NOT be issued to those on the
'waiting list' - they will become day-tickets. That has happened with the
seats in front of us.

Stating the obvious - ST/LMTB's DON'T go to the Megastore every match.
Day-tickets DO. QED.

On another tack is Glazer merely Murdoch by the back door? Far cleverer
people than me will have considered this but has anybody (with the
wherewithal - Michael Crick for instance) actually checked to see if it is?

I discussed this point with somebody who is well placed and very
knowledgeable of both Manchester United and football matters. I put forward
the idea that Glazer (Murdoch) will take TV revenue 'out of the game' and
he told me that it didn't matter as all clubs had restructured after ITV
and no longer 'needed' TV revenue.

I asked whether he (they) had considered the situation of Glazer (Murdoch)
showing a big game (say Manchester United v Arsenal - after Arsenal had
gone solo too) at 15:00 on a Saturday afternoon.

I live in Crewe. If I walk through the town I don't see one youngster in a
Crewe Alex shirt. I DO see lots in Manchester United, Real Madrid (#23) and
Chelsea shirts.

What would happen down at Gresty Road if Glazer (Murdoch) had a 'big match'
on at 15:00 on Saturday. The 'FOR SALE' signs would go up - that's what
would happen.

Has ANYBODY considered this?

When the penny drops the Government will have to step in and stop it. When
that happens I hope that the people who are going to 'talk to' the Irishmen
and Dobson will also consider adding the Government to their list of
'people who need a good talking to'. As the Government will have stepped in
AFTER they've allowed us to be sold to the devil - WHEN they could so
easily have prevented all this happening. Bastards.

Perhaps I'm talking bollocks. I normally do. BUT - what if I'm right.

I'm as sick as sh*t at the moment. I truly believe that last Thursday was
the SECOND worst day of my whole life. The worst? It happened a long time
ago when I was a small boy. In February 1958.
