I have received several private mailings about the above subject. All bar one supportive. One asked me to explain more fully what (I thought) this is all about............
My understanding is this. Post-Glazer the Board demanded that the Shareholders United banner be removed from the Stretford End. As an act of solidarity all the other banner 'owners' withdrew their banners. This leaves the Stretford End looking 'naked' - if you will. The Board (Glazer) has requested that supporters think about replacing the banners. The original 'owners' have said "fuck off" (and rightly so), but some others have now decided to start a fund to replace the banners. They KNOW that I think that they are WRONG as it is my opinion that to acquiesce to ANY Board request is to put Glazer further into a comfort zone as far as his belief goes that he is 'winning over' the fans. Sadly I appear unable to convince them not to go ahead with their misguided (in my opinion) plan to 'support' the wishes of the Board (Glazer). That is it in a nutshell.
