yeah! story was around in the Mr Bond thread a while back. Keeping it
colloquial, i guess they will map raster data (something like Quicktime
VR or IPIX) on wire frames and look for deviations

why does the hindu always anonymize its sources? we caught it outright
lying twice last month (one on in-enaction, other on mpisg-media). this
story isn't wrong from what i know, but it sure is fuzzy. i am equally
curious about the various privacy and surveillance NGO(s) and assorted
new media and the city hobbyists, thought they would be crying off the
roof by now! the resolution of data-capture this implies, combined with
post-processing technologies, is it even legal? IPIX has a very
interesting camera, by the way, one lens makes 3d of a whole room, and
they can pattern match moving faces in a subway in dimlight with the
cops' whodunit data.

my questions are, exactly what is the tech spec of this system (thought
he could get 1meter data from ISRO for free, NASA has a great plug in
tool, the world wind, which ought to give him the data too); and more
important, is the checking automated? design checking for legal stuff
has to be 100% automated to avoid human error (induced of otherwise)

if the checking is not automated, than, Mr. Sibbal is better off
surveying away in a hot air balloon, true napoleon style. cloth he can
buy from chandani chowk, hot air, his imaginary friend
napoleon-the-Orwellian-pig will supply in great abundance

Five Crore for just a few wards looks like too much to me. the CoA
system i will propose on 13/14th costs about half that much and covers
the whole country
