Jika pagi tadi belum terjawab berapa boros motor bermesin CVT 4 tak, 110 cc ini, maka kali ini sudah diperoleh jawabannya. Melalui uji berkendara yang juga diikuti oleh Kompas.com, Honda Beat hanya butuh "minum" 1 liter bensin untuk menerobos jarak 73,514 kilometer. Perhitungan yang sama pun diperoleh puluhan jurnalis yang melakukan tes ride pada berbagai kondisi jalan di Jakarta, siang tadi, Rabu (18/6). Bobot motor yang dilengkapi fitur- fitur keselamatan, yaitu Parking Brake Lost (sistem penguncian rem belakang seperti fungsi rem tangan pada mobil) dan Side Stand Switch (sistem pengaman yang menonaktifkan mesin apabila standar samping terbuka) hanya seberat 61,3 kilogram. Nah, saat menopang berat mencapai 105,6 kilogram, motor yang dijual dengan harga Rp 12 juta per unit ini mampu menempuh 64,762 kilometer untuk satu liter bensin. Namun demikian, konsumsi bahan bakar ini sangat tergantung dengan cara mengemudi seseorang. Pada motor pertama dan kedua tadi, pengendara mengendarai motornya dengan stabil. Sementara pada motor ketiga, pengendara banyak mengerem kendaraan sehingga konsumsi bahan bakar membengkak. Oleh karena itu, motor ketiga hanya bisa menempuh jarak 65,542 kilometer untuk seliter bensin. Padahal, bobot yang dibawa Beat di motor ketiga hanya 57,5 kilogram. Deputy Tech Service Division PT Astra Honda Motor Handy Hariko mengatakan, ada berbagai kemungkinan yang dapat memengaruhi keiritan penggunaan bahan bakar. "Misalnya, meski berat ada faktor daya dorong angin yang menyebabkan kendaraan bergerak lebih cepat atau pas di turunan dia lepas gas. Jadi tidak nyedot bahan bakar," ujarnya saat mengukur bahan bakar motor kedua di Senayan, Jakarta, Rabu (18/6). Test ride hari ini mengambil rute Senayan-Gatot Subroto-Jalan Sudirman-Jalan KH Mas Mansyur-Jalan Dr Satrio-Jalan Casablanca-Jalan Kampung Melayu, dengan kondisi jalan sebenarnya, banyak kendaraan berlalu lalang, macet, dan berlubang.
