My apologies for the mistake in yesterday's recipe (I forgot
to include how much butter). Also, I tried to make the
directions a little more clear. If you still have questions,
you can e-mail me today...I did not respond to those e-mails
from yesterday...due to the VERY LARGE (500 plus) number of
inquiries. So here it is again with corrections. I hope many
of you try this cake, it's delicious!

Scandinavian Apple Cake
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 Tbls. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp. salt
1 cup water
2 Tbls. butter or margarine
1 can (20 oz.) apple pie filling
1 package lemon cake mix
3 large eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1-1/4 cups water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. For sauce, combine brown sugar,
flour, nutmeg and salt in small baking dish. Gradually stir
in 1 cup water. Add butter; set aside. In a separate baking
dish, spread apple pie filling in 13x9-inch baking pan.
Combine dry cake mix, eggs, oil and 1 and 1/4 cups water in
large mixer bowl. Mix as directed on package. Spread batter
evenly over the apples. Bake cake pan and sauce pan for 43
minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
To serve, spoon warm cake and apples in serving bowls and top
with sauce.
