Hello all,
Well, on Sunday, September 26, 1999 we shall be having elections
for the new India Association committee (time and place to be announced
later tomorrow). For those that are interested in running for a position
this year, here is what is available:
President: Head of meetings, help form committees, help in
delegation of work and duties.
Vice-President: Fill in for president's absence. Help in work and
duties for selected activities.
Treasurer: Handle the money properly. Help in work and duties.
Secretary: Takes notes on any meeting discussion. Written record
of what happens. Help in the work and duties for selected activities.
Publicity Coordinator: Help come up with ideas to promote
activities. Help in work and dutes for activities.
Public Relations Officer: Interact with the
public/students/businesses and encourage their help and participation for
activities. Help in work and duties of activities.
Events Coordinator: Help in the coordination and forming of
committees for event preparation. Help in work and duties of activities.
These 7 positions can be filled by any student and it is encouraged that
anyone willing to be on the committee do so. It is a great experience,
something nice on a resume :-), and is fun to work with others to complete
