My name is Amitabh and I'm planning to apply to the
MS program at Oregon State for fall 2000.I'm currently
working with TCS Pune.I was wondering if you could be
kind enough to provide me with some information.I was
hoping that as a student you would be able to give me
a better picture of the admissions and aid scene
there.I have a score of 2120 in the GRE and TOEFL .My
major prob is that I have a lousy score( 640) in the
Quant section.Could u advise me taking this factor
into consideration?
Any info that you could provide
would help me enormously .My interests are in SE and
OO methodologies

Project Title : MasterCraft

The Project : Design and development of an Integrated Software
Development Environment
Synopsis :
MasterCraft is an Object Model-based software development environment with a 3-tier
Client/Server Architecture that is targeted at developers of large applications.
It supports a Component-based development process based on the rationale that any
application may be viewed as a set of interacting components. It is driven by
pre-defined
roles to be played by users of the environment, which support various Analysis, Design
and Construction activities of an application's development.
Responsibilities :
I have been involved in the following tasks :
- Enforcement of UML well formedness rules for ADEX which is the modelling tool used
by MasterCraft.
- Integration of the server sides tools of MasterCraft.
-Testing of MasterCraft .
-Creating a prototype for EX-NGN(an accounting packege dveloped by TCS) using
MasterCraft.
2. MY ACADEMIC PROJECTS.
a)Project Title : "Web Imager : A tool for recreating the web offline"
Synopsis :
Web Imager is essentially a proxy server.It has a client part(a web spider) which can
download files from the net onto local machines in order to simulate the WWW locally
.This tool is essentialy meant for networks which have a single dial up connection to
the net .It can help regulate the traffic by identifying and caching frequently
accessed sites locally.The local copies can be updated peridically using a scheduler
facility available with this tool.
