Hello,

I just wanted to remind everyone that performance deadlines is March 24th,
only a few days away. Please submit your performance before the
deadline, if you haven't already.

We will be needing a list from one member from each group of all the
participants first and last names, IA will request this from you
personally through e-mail so do keep in mind that we need the description
and all the information by April 1, 2000. This is so your names, as
performers, appear in the booklets handed out on April 23rd to the
audience.

Please read a few suggestions from a previous e-mail if you are submitting
a performance.

Thanks you,
I hope you're all having a great Spring Break,
Sarika Patel

Subject: India Nite 2000

(I know it is long, but please read details for performing)

Hello Everyone,

It's that time of the year again..India Nite preparations have arrived.
April 23, 2000 is the scheduled date in the MU Ballroom.

We would like to explain this years India Nite Theme to you. We would
like to have two MC's going on an imaginary train ride through all of the
states in India. They will stop at particular states, like Punjab explain
a little about Punjab and then go into a typical dance, song or skit from
that area. We want to represent as many states as we can like Kashmir,
UP, Gujrat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Bengal, on and on.

What we are asking from YOU is that you submit your group performances AND
state you're representing by March 24, 2000. That way we have four weeks
to prepare for other areas like booklets before 4-23-00. We are really
hoping to get one dance, song, OR skit for each state or as many as we can
represent.

It will be on a first come first serve basis but also the IA
committee will first have to evaluate each submittal so we can diversify
and not have too much of the same thing...only two dancers performing,
only one state having too much emphasis, only film song being represented.
WE don't want the same thing. We would like to evaluate and approve your
submital for around 5 minute performances(give or take a few). Maybe even
change the states being represented around.

Our third part of the show will be the famous fashion show, only this
year it will be a little different. We want to represent all the
different styles of marriage dress for man and woman in various, beautiful
colors. Do show us your interest in this area as well.

Please, submit your ideas as soon as possible way before March 24, 2000
and we will get back to you. Deadlines may change to an earlier date.

Thank you,
Sarika Patel
IA President

PS. Keep in mind we need all the volunteers possible for April 23rd like
in the past.
