Subject: "ILOVEYOU" Computer virus
There is yet another virus that is spreading like wildfire around the
world. It is called "ILOVEYOU". The subject line is "ILOVEYOU" and the
attachment is LOVE-LETTER-FOR-YOU.TXT.vbs. The body of the message
contains:
"Kindly check the attached LOVELETTER coming from me"
I've been unable to get to any of the classic anti-virus sites because
they are swamped! If you want to read additional material about the virus,

This virus (worm) uses the VBScript as its method of transmission. It
propogates itself through the Outlook Express address book. Other email
programs will still receive the message but the worm will not invade your
address book.
As always, please, do NOT open or double-click on any attachment you
receive, especially one that is an executable program, unless the person
who sent it *KNOWS* what has been sent. This includes extensions such as
.exe, .dll, com., .bat, .vbs, etc. If you receive an executable
attachment, specifically ask the person if they sent you a program. If
not, it is probably a virus!
If you do not have an anti-virus program on your computer, please install
one! We highly recommend McAfee. If you have an anti-virus on your
computer, please be sure to update the virus file list frequently. One law
school is reporting that they have Norton Anti-Virus Corporate Edition and
the virus got through anyway.
