The First Annual Miss India Oregon 2000-2001 January 20,2001 Deb Fennel Auditorium Tigard High School, 9000 SW Durham RD. Tigard ICA is excited about bringing this pageant to Oregon for the first time. The winner of the Miss In-dia Oregon pageant will go on to represent Oregon’s Indian community at the Miss India USA pag-eant. The winner of the Miss India USA pageant represents the Indian–American community at the Miss India Worldwide pageant. Rules and Regulations 1. Who can participate. Any woman of Indian origin (regardless of place of birth) between the ages of 17 and 25 inclusive (on December 31st of the year she participates), never married and never having had a child, is eligible to participate. The contestant must be a resident of the state that she is to represent. Appropriate documentation regarding the age and residency status of the contestant must be submitted in order to meet eligibility requirements. 2. Contestant Regulations. Since Miss India Oregon is a conservative pageant, proper attire for all seg-ments is mandatory. The ICA in its sole discretion, retains the right to alter the format of the pageant. The winner of Miss India Oregon will be the only delegate of Oregon at the Miss India USA pageant. 3. The Contest. Contestants selected for Miss India Oregon will be judged in the following areas: (a) Indian Dress, (b) Evening Gown, and (c) Talent. The top five contestants will move on to the (d) Question/Answer segment. The ICA, in its sole discretion, retains the right to alter the format.
